This hotel offers a delightful onsen experience with large, clean rooms and a beautiful Japanese garden. The outdoor baths and private onsen options were great, but we encountered some issues with temperature and availability. Dining was enjoyable with local food, though more variety would have been nice. While the location requires a shuttle to reach the main town, it's still a lovely and relaxing stay.

Rooms

The room was spacious and clean, featuring a traditional ryokan style with futon beds and a kitchenette. It was well-equipped and reasonably priced.
Service

The service was friendly and accommodating, though language barriers with some staff members created a few awkward moments. Overall, a pleasant experience.
Location

The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the main Kusatsu Onsen area, which necessitates planning for shuttle times. It's a bit inconvenient but still surrounded by nature.
Dining

Dining options at the hotel were good, with a focus on local cuisine. Breakfast offered a choice of porridge or rice, but I felt it could use a bit more variety.

I had a fantastic stay! The views were absolutely gorgeous, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The hotel offered a variety of dining options, although I would have loved to experience the private open-air rock bath, which seemed to always have a queue. Overall, each part of my experience was memorable, but longer stays seem to be the way to go for more relaxation and exploration.

This ryokan offers a lovely stay surrounded by the beauty of Kusatsu Onsen, with private onsen options and spacious rooms. The bathrooms are separated, providing a unique experience. However, shuttles to the town are limited, and breakfast selections could use improvement.

Service

Breakfast offered limited choices between porridge and rice and could definitely be improved.
Facilities

The facilities include a nice private onsen and a public area with a view, but the outside pool was lukewarm, making it less attractive.

My stay at this hotel was a truly wonderful experience! The warm and accommodating staff enhanced the atmosphere, and the beautiful scenery made it a memorable retreat. I particularly appreciated the tranquil Japanese garden and the availability of hot baths, which were delightful. However, I did encounter a few issues, such as one outdoor bath being out of order and the private bath not being quite warm enough for my liking.
